Back in seminary I knew this guy who took a class called “Effective Pulpit Delivery.” It was a class on giving dramatic sermons. Eventually he had to write one. So one evening he and his wife were sitting together at FBC, and as she did her thing, he was reading our passage in Mark 2 and a “dramatic sermon” just sort of tumbled onto his paper.

It gives a bit of a different perspective on the story. He gets a little emotional at the end, but I think that is because of his Greek blood.
