A Note on the Reading Notes

The 2015 Reading Notes will be the final edition I will post on this blog. Posting these has been motivational for me and, I think, a help to some people overseas.

There are now 3 different versions of the Reading Notes online. The 2012 notes were exciting because they were the first edition and I included music video links to fill out the expression. Last year’s Notes, we thought, were the final product, but this past year Laura and I have made some substantial corrections or additions to a handful of entries. We now think 2015 is the final version.

If you check our webpage

https://sites.google.com/site/dlkachikis/reading-notes

you will eventually find each month of the Reading Notes marked as “2015 Final.” These documents will be the final copies.

As I’ve mentioned before, the Reading Notes are only a help to someone who is in the Word and meeting with others to make disciples who make disciples. Everyone needs motivation to stay in the Word, to stay focused on our Lord and to follow Him in this adventure. The Reading Notes help. Also, the Reading Notes are like a light Bible study course to strengthen the leaders.  Here, the leader is learning “real-time,” as part of his or her daily reading and interaction with those in their group.

My prayer for you is that you read the Word everyday and that you devote your life and every effort to reaching lost people and making disciples who make disciples. I am convinced that only in following our Lord like this, in the Word, sensing the Spirit’s movement and leading, can we truly know the heart, glory and power of our Lord.

It is worth pouring ourselves into this to motivate the Lord’s people and to show them a simple and natural way of being and making disciples. It is worth all of the effort, opposition and even death to see others follow Him. He paid it all and has prepared the future for us. Life truly begins when this all ends.

May 2015 be a great year of following our Lord into the harvest.

In Christ,
